Greetings. The Bible is many things to many people, but primarily it is a spiritual language as to how God thinks: which are His thoughts, and He does not think like a man. Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Man has taken the Bible and made God into a genie in a bottle and demanded that God make their physical lives better. God thoughts or ways are higher than our thoughts thus he commands us to think on a higher Spiritual level. Psalm 50:21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. The them in the above verse are God’s words and the way we see them: no order only darkness. Psalm 119:133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. If God does not order our spiritual steps or our self-righteous way of seeing the Bible by our own wisdom, which is iniquity, and it will destroy us. It took me twenty-five years of playing Church for God to reprove me and then started to order His word as He sees them: this is a spiritual process and causes mental suffering because the so-called Christian will not take correction. The first thing we must know is that we cannot spiritually understand the Bible unless the Holy Ghost reveals the spiritual meaning. To be reproved by God I had to meet a man who had taken reprove or correction to his thinking as it relates to mortal man: Jesus is not a mortal man, yet we all form an image of a mortal man when reading the Bible. Jesus in the next verse states the spiritual reasons why he came and the quick answer we would give is to save us. Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. In physical things when we are quick to give an answer without doing any research on the matter, we are mentally lazy. What was lost in the above verse? His words which men have sought to destroy the first time they picked up a Bible or heard a scripture. Sheep in the Bible symbolizes God’s word and his people who can spiritually hear the good shepherd voice. John 10:27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:28 and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Until we learn to discern our voice we hear in our heads from God’s voice: we are lost and have no eternal life. 2 Corinthians 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. The thoughts we all first hear when reading the Bible are our own and temporal or not eternal unless God makes his words known unto us: then they become the words spoken in heaven. Matthew 10:6but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The lost sheep are the ones we have all lost and their dwelling is in the wilderness of our minds. The first real work we will do as Christians is to gather or evangelize those thoughts that exalted men wisdom and then mentally cast them out. 2 Corinthians 10:5casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. In spiritual matters when we are quick to answer without the Holy Ghost council, God calls us all fools. Psalm 75:4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn. You might have heard the phrase: tooted his own horn, and spiritually that is what we do when we open our mouth without God counsel. Billions will say he came to give us life and have more abundantly. We have had no idea what abundantly meant to God nor neither have cared, we just make up something that flatters us. Some people I have met think the abundant life is eating at a five-star restaurant after Church. Since I do not know what abundant means to God let us search the scriptures and have it revealed to us. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The thief is man in the above verse: who spiritually steal, kill, and destroy anything spiritual from God’s words. Physical thieves steal because they refuse to labor for the things they want or just like taking things by force. We refuse to mentally labor for the wisdom that is from above; to obtain such wisdom we have to allow God to judge our thoughts. I was a UAW Labor Union Representative when I was eighteen, I understand now why: God was preparing me to read his Bible which is His law book. The sins of our mouth have been exceedingly sinful and yet God promise to pardon abundantly if we forsake our thoughts. Isaiah 55:7let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. When God is revealing His words unto us it is His grace and this has nothing to do with obtaining something physical. 1 Timothy 1:14And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. When something exceeds it is more than enough to meet the need and God’s grace is exceeding abundant, shown by revealing His words. Having a Lot of physical things is no indication of God’s abundance of grace. Yet, we will need an abundance of love and faith to obtained eternal life. Without any real love we will not study the scriptures and will not have the faith to believe a hidden gospel exists. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The substance is God’s words that we should have hoped that He would make known unto us; not faith to pay the rent, finance a new car: these physical things are no evidence that God exists. Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared. When God is making Himself known unto us, only then we can utterly understand His kindness and love toward man. Titus 3: 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Man has no mercy, and if he shows any it is just to make himself look good; God is being merciful when the Holy Ghost is doing the above. Titus 3:6 which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
