GREETINGS. Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them. Does not seem quite fair or does it, that Jesus would only speak to the multitude in parables or to us in parables? All scriptures are parables because we want to hear them our way or interpretation, and that is the only way our carnal mind can judge them. Romans 8:7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Our thoughts can symbolize the laws or rules we live by in our minds, and these thoughts are our subjects. And what makes us think the multitude in Matthew 13:34 are a PHYSICAL PEOPLE? Jesus spoke in parables against those that would put him to death. Mark_12:12And they[Our own multitude of carnal thoughts put on God’s word brings spiritual death to His word when read it] sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.The they, in the above verse are men thoughts, who after reading the Bible go their own way: which represents our ways or our own wisdom. We all think we are pretty wise when we first picked up a Bible, and this has nothing to do with our level of education. 1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. God will let you go your own way for a season, in the hope that one day: when a little Spiritual light may be granted unto you. That Spiritual light will be revealed to you: that you never saw anything Spiritual. Matthew 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light.Who do we think this verse is direct to? John 14:6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. So what does the Bible say a parable a is? Psalm 49:4 I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.Psalms_78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old. The carnal mind of men can only interpret God’s word in darkness or in dark saying of our own wisdom. We emphasize this: the carnal mind can only see God’s word in darkness or dark saying. Men have a multitude or thoughts against God’s words, and God’s words come against that multitude in the form of parables. For many years I had this recurring nightmare: that one leg was shorter than the other. Proverbs 26:7The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools. God was trying to tell me in my dreams, I was a fool. We as men and women have all played the fool and a fool has no fear of taking God's covenant in his or her mouth. We quote God's word like we are discussing a football game, and secretly love the sound they make coming out of our mouths. Job 20:12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, thought he hide it under his tongue. When cannot hide our thoughts from God and neither from His physical servants. Psalm 50:16But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? A man in the market place the other day asked me what team did I have for tonight game? I have no team I replied as I deflated his mental balloon. People have no interest in the true words of God, yet think others have interest in what is important to them. Michael Rudolph Hodges 11/5/2018/amended 1/27/2021/ amended 1/23/2022
