​​​​​​​What is sin? The question is asked not of the crack addict or drunk on the street, but to the millions of a group of people who call themselves Christians. I recently asked that question to a woman who was dressed in a very long white dress, black hair flowing from a slender neck as she clutched a huge black bible to her slender small frame. ''Anything that is not of GOD is sin'', was her answer. Yet her answer was not wrong, still it was a general answer that most so-called Christian could come up with. But I asked what does God word say sin is? Proverbs 24:9the thought of foolishness is in sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.  A scorner is just any person that refused to let God's word judge them was my answer as I quoted the above scripture. Proverbs 15: 12A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him, neither will he go unto the wise.  When we have God's word abiding in us we can correct or reprove others and this is done out of true love for people.  Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire. When we Spiritually hear God's word the way He speaks them, it Spiritually dissolve our substance or the way we think. The look of self-righteousness started to dissolve from the plastic smile that completed her Christian attire. Feeling threaten she quickly countered that she was no longer a drunk. Matthew 15:11 ​Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. I did not press it any further having witness in the past the true nature of the self-righteousness Bible carrying devil. Luke 18:9and he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others. The women felt threaten but not from me, she feared another thought, which were trying to tell her she did not know God. When we trust in ourselves or in our own earthly wisdom, we despise any thought of a greater wisdom. ''I don't drink anymore'' she cried out!  Sure it was great that she was no longer a drunk and her liver was getting a break. But to God another kind of drunkenness exist and it is not physical.  Deuteronomy 29:19  and it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself it his heart, saying, I shall have peace , though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunken to thirst.In her heart she was more righteous than the people she wanted to bring to Christ.  But she was still a drunk: drunk on imagination, not thirsting after God's righteousness, because she had invented her own devices, or our own thoughts as what righteousness was to her. Psalms 107:27they reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken, and are at their wits end. Job 12:25They grope in the dark without light, and He maketh them to stagger like a drunken man. You see there is: man's self righteousness which is unrighteousness and God's righteousness. Matthew 5:20 for I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.It's normal for a so called Christian once he or she has been to a physical altar or dunked in physical water to become a modern day Pharisees and not ever know it. No were in the Bible do we read were a physical altar saved anybody. The fact that we went to an physical altar shows us we thought sometime was wrong with us: yet we cannot ourselves. 1 Timothy 2: 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and come unto the knowledge of the truth. We must suffer to come unto God's: Knowledge of the truth, and that's something we fear to do.  2 Timothy 3:16all scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, an is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,for correction, for instruction in righteousness.What do you mean I have to be instructed in righteousness? Yes! Proverbs 1:2to know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding. What do think I'm a Bible carrying Pharisees? Yes! We all are, after being told by some man or women; that we are saved just because we shake, rattle and roll. Or never say a four letter word but go to movies and hear actors use such lewd slang tongues. This is the fear of man and you have no fear of the Lord's instruction.Proverbs 1:7the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The purpose of the Bible is to destroy the carnal mind that you might obtain the mind of Christ and this doesn't happen over night. Leviticus 24:12 And they put him in the ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.  But the battle not somewhere in the middle east or some other physical place, but in the mind or your heart concerning what we believe. Psalm 140:7   O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Mentally we will fight to keep your self-righteousness. This represents your life in this worldwhich we love so much. Matthew 10:39He that findeth his life shall lose it:and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.Even the Prophet Job was self-righteous: Job 27:6My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long me so long as I live. Because we all have a millions of thoughts as who or what we think God is like. A whole army of ungodly thoughts have we put on GOD'S holy word. Your thoughts are waiting in a valley of the mind. Joel 3:14Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.You have to declare war on your own members and this fight is not physical. Romans 7:23 but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  St John 12:25he that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. Great news! The battle the LORD'S. he'll sent his angels and angels are His word to drive out your carnal understanding of his word.Exodus 33:2 and I will seed an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite,the Amorite, and the Hittite, and Perizzite, and ahaivitr and the Jebusite.
