GRIEVOUS WORDS
Greetings beloved. Has anybody ever tried to assault you with a sword or even shot at you with an bow and arrow? I made my own bow and arrow as a kid complete with used pop bottle as arrow head; yet I do not recall shooting at my younger brothers. Psalm 64:3Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter word. Here Gods liken our tongue to swords and arrows or weapons of war. ''Sticks and stones may break my bones but words never will never hurt me.'' We used to say that little phrase when I was a kid, but in reality bitter words can sometime cause mental harm. Psalm 55:21The words of his mouth were smoother than butter but War was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn Swords. God's word are grievous to our flesh and they are meant to spiritually burn up and destroy the carnal Mind thoughts. Psalm 97:3 A Fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. The Bible is a correction of the carnal mind of man which is a very grievous process to us all. Proverbs 15:1Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the Way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. If our tongue is liken to a bow, what kind of bow is it liken to? Psalm 78:57 But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully Like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.But a true friend may use grievous word to wound us deeply. Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a Friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. What friend would wound us? JESUS! John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. You see our friendship with God is based on keeping His word and not our carnal interpretation of what we think a scripture means. James 4:4Ye adulterers and Adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever there will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Now the world here is not a physical place, but what we believe in our hearts. Ecclesiastes3:11He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world In their heart. The carnal men love other men thoughts about the Bible and are able to fill stadiums on any given Sunday preaching the wisdom of men. We are not grieved when we can hear the Bible our own way. Hebrews 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, they do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. Generation deals with our own physical lifespan because we only saw the Bible in our own ways. John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own, but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth me. The Old Testament Biblical character Abraham was told by God he would bear a son. Genesis17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? Genesis 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. Isaac, Abraham's son represents a seed or God’s promise of His revealed word being born spiritually in us and Sarah represents a good law. We can all receive revelation or seed if we learn to wait on God, problem is it’s grievous to wait. Genesis 16:3 And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. We do not want to wait on God, so our carnal mind produce’s it our interpretation about a scripture. We take Hager, Sarai handmaid [our thoughts] and produce an Ishmael: Hager represents a bad law or the of law Sin and death. Genesis 16:15 And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son’s name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael. But we loved our carnal thoughts we have put on God’s holy word, and It grieves us to let our spiritual Ishmael go. When God kept His promise to Abram and the promise seed came, Isaac. Then the thought born of the flesh is represented by, Ishmael. Our carnal flesh mocks God every time men preaches on any scripture without the promise revealed word of God. Genesis 21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. 10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac. 11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son. It is grievous to give up the false things we believe about God's word, yet those things must be casted out. Galatians 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. Do you have any Ishmael in you mocking God's word? That would stop you from being an heir to God's promise word and His kingdom? Of course God will not force you to give up those bastards thoughts; we have all created in our vain mind against His word: those bastards produce other bastards. One day or better still [ because we are in spiritual darkness] one night and you have a whole nation of thoughts gather in your mind or name. Genesis 25:16 and these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam.
