PROFANE AND UNCLEAN VAIN PEOPLE
Ezekiel 44:23And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. Profane is a word that’s not used too often in our modern-day society and yet God calls all of us profane and unclean. Millions of so-called Christian loves to boast of themselves as being holy and this is usually based on something physical, they no longer do; at this point the no longer saved by grace but works. Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Unless we know what these words or the scriptures means to God, we just add some meaning that flatters ourselves. This is how the devil, which just symbolize man thoughts on God’s word, we are tempted by our own person or thoughts which are evil. Matthew 6:13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. We have thought the evil, we needed to be delivered from was a physical neighbor, but it has only been ourselves. We have all created our own spiritual kingdom in our minds, and we become the power and glory in ourselves, and this kingdom will not last forever. When we add our own thoughts to God’s words, we are plaguing ourselves and we all do this at first. Revelation 22:18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. God’s word when they are unknown to us are prophecy and we are waiting for the Holy Ghost to make the spiritual meaning known. I used to think that Bible Prophecy had something to do with future physical world events and I thought wrong: because it was my own private interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. I took my unclean thoughts and added on to something that was clean, the Bible and made it unclean. Problem being we are all born with all these uncleans thoughts about God’s words and left to our own evil devices we become righteous unto ourselves. The book of Leviticus speaks a lot about unclean beasts and man is just a two-legged unclean beast who spends about $90.00 a year on soap. Psalm 49:20Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish. Unless God’s gives us His understanding: He sees us a just beasts who walk on two legs and as we physically age the more, we walk bend over, because we carry a heavy burden of sin. Psalm 73:22So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.2 Timothy 2:16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. This verse tips us off by trying to show us that profane has to do with what coming out of our mouths and we know vain has to do with our thinking. Psalm 139:20For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. We take God’s name in vain by making it our thoughts and making it equal or even greater than God’s thoughts. Ezekiel 44:23And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. The Holy Ghost must teach us to discern our profane thoughts from God’s thoughts which are from above. John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. If we think this verse applies to somebody else but us, we have deceived our own selves. Millions of Preachers have no discernment and were never called by the Lord: they called themselves to destruction. Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. This following verse speaks of the warning found in: Revelation 22:18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. King David saw men only had the spiritual understanding of a beast and so did one of Job companion Zophar the Naamathite. Job 11:12 For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt. Has anybody ever called you an ass before? Now by God’s grace let the Holy Ghost show us more of what makes us all profane persons. Profane is only found 46 times in the Bible, and I look at each scripture to give us the answers to help us to discern more on how God thinks. These things of God take time and as we learn to love Him more, there is not enough time we would not be willing to seek Him. Hebrews 12:16
lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Michael Rudolph Hodges 9/9/2022
