Greetings. Whether we buy or not depends on the price of an object we desire. As a young man years ago sometime it did not matter the price, if had to work three jobs to obtain it: which I did. If we are to obtain the things of God or His words and not our thoughts about them, it will cost. Everything we thought we knew about God's word must be destroyed because we are insufficient to think anything of God. We thought we were sufficient to know what His word were saying because of our pride and we thought wrong. Proverbs 13: 10 Only by pride cometh contention. ​The contention comes in the form of our own thoughts.  Matthew 9:4And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?My thoughts concerning God words will only produce evil and God knew this from the beginning: He knew we would make the Bible sin or our own evil thoughts. Proverbs 24:9The thought of foolishness is sin. 2 Corinthians 3:5Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. Had I set down to review my Spiritual checkbook it could have been revealed to me I had not the wisdom to think God’s thoughts. God can only be our sufficient when spiritually we acknowledge we made the good word of God sin or our mortal thinking. This not as simply as it seems because our hearts are hard and insufficient to see our fleshly thinking cannot understand the things of God: it's impossible and only God can reveal our insufficiencies. Luke 18:27 And he said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God. In the above scripture we never asked what are the things Jesus is talking about? It's impossible to know the things of God unless it is revealed from above. Yet we think we are better than saint Peter, as Jesus asked him a question. Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Note that only Peter gave an answer: until five minutes ago I never saw Jesus's question was directed to all of the discipline: because I was insufficient to see the smallest thing. Matthew​ 16:16 ​And Simon Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. In Peter flesh and blood thinking he would be insufficient to give such an answer. Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven. We are quick to say Jesus in the Son of the living, but if the Holy Ghost has never shown us anything from above: we are accursing His word by speaking our own insufficient wisdom against Him. 1 Corinthians 12:3 Where I give you understanding that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.  Isaiah 55:8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. When we write a check without enough monies to cover that check, you receive a notice stating: insufficient funds. We have all been insufficient in the words of God, but He could give us His sufficiency: if we had asked in faith. John 14:14If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it. We have never asked for anything in His Name or His revealed word.  All we have asked for is the temporal or something physical and thought if we got that new car, God must highly favored us. No you favored by your credit score. 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. My prayers for over twenty years were: Lord give me a better job or something physical like a new car or home, better still make me a Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes winner. I did not have a prayer and neither do you. John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. Millions finish a useless prayer with the words in Jesus’s name, but the prayer is in their name, because in their own carnal mind they are God. I have personally witness miserable fools stand up in Churches and with check books in hands, shout for God’s Angels to bring money now! We have lifted ourselves or thoughts against God’s word and should have kept our mouths shut. Proverbs 30:32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. I have attended such Churches, correction these synagogues of Satan. Since we are all been proud and thought we did not need God to reveal His words to us, in fact we were in need of nothing. Our own spiritually blind eyes convinced us all we were indeed sufficient in the flesh and we had spiritually clothed ourselves we went away naked. There was once a man who knew he was insufficient in the things of God and asked God for help.  1 Kings 3:8And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great people. The great people in the above symbolize God's word, King Solomon knew he needed a understanding heart to judge and discern between good and bad.   2 Corinthians 3:5Not that we are sufficient of our ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.
