Titus 1:14 not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments ofmen, that turn from the truth. Fables are the commandments of men or something men have cunningly thought up concerning the character of God. Greetings. Acts 14:2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. Unbelieving Jew has nothing to do with a physical race of people but symbolize our thoughts that refuse to believe God's truth. Fairy tales are sometime stories that range from those originating in folklore to more modern stories defined as literary fairy tales. Most fairy tales usually have happy endings: girl marries prince and prince turns into a frog. 2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. The word cunning is found on one time in the Bible, thus we will spiritually compare it with scriptures with a synonym: deceitful. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Only God can reveal whats hidden in our wicked hearts, and since we all have imagined we have good heart: God's words are hidden from us. Now I allowed God’s Spirit to bring to light what has been hidden from my eyes of flesh, in Titus 1:14 : once again a fable in the Bible is just a commandment of men. Men created the fable: just come down to a physical altar repeat after a man and you are saved. 1 Timothy 2:4
who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. There were fables I recall reading or hearing as a kid. My favorite one was where the boy gets some magic seeds and plants them; these seeds produce a tree that reaches up to heaven. Once the kid gets to heaven, he commits grand larceny. Spiritually we steal every verse we can from the Bible and make it our own wisdom. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. Preachers plant seeds or evil thoughts into the minds of men that just say these magic words and if you physical dead tonight you are going to heaven. Once we put our thoughts on the living souls hidden in the verses, we destroy any spiritual meaning we might have received. Jeremiah 2:26As the thief is ashamed when he is found. Once God reveal to us, we never had any spiritual understanding of His word, we will be ashamed. 1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. In one fairy tale a woman must be awaken from a deep sleep; we have been Spiritually asleep to God’s righteousness. In our present state of spiritual slumber, we have invented our own righteousness. We do such evil because we have not a love for the knowledge of God’s truth. 1 Timothy 2:4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Without God’s revealed truth or His word, we are all spiritually blind, deaf, and lame on both feet. Romans 11:8 (according as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
