Greetings. Having read the Bible through many times I presumed I understood it? Wrong! Genesis 1:2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Some years ago as I was reading the above verses out-loud and something strange happen. My mouth didn't say aloud what my mind saw..I read it thus so this way: And theMichael was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the waters. I stood up as the Bible fell from my hands; I stood silence for several moments and didn't move. Where did the word Michael come from? Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to show us the deep things of Genesis 1:2. Psalm 92:5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are verydeep. Nothing in the Bible is physical but to the carnal mind everything he sees in the Bible is physical.That the only way the carnal can see things:the things are God's word. Job 10:4 Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?God uses physical things to try to show us the Spiritual because His thoughts are very deep. I can relate to the word earth, even if I never even seem it from space. I am told by other it’s round and well that’s about all. But I am also earth because I was formed out of the dust. Genesis 2:7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground. Also if we allow the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, what does he dwell in? Earthen vessels.2 Corinthians 4:7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. The Holy Spirit is a treasure and is given only to them that obey the truth of God’s word. Act 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. The Bible is talking to us as we read it, if we allow God to judge our thoughts. We do this by not trying to interpret a verses without the Holy Ghost interpretation. WAIT! Do not judge the verses.Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. God in the above verse is not talking about not calling a physical thief a thief. Our mind is constantly judging things, from people to situations. When we allow the word to judge us than God does not have to. We all judge the Bible after our own fleshly thoughts[appearance] the first time we read it yet we are also being judged as we read it. John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. The carnal mind has not the spiritual knowledge to judge anything Spiritual and the Bible the only Spiritual book that exist. Matthew 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged...... God judges our thoughts against His words as sin and nothing about physical actions. Proverbs 24:9 The thought of foolishness is sin. Nobody comes into this physical world with anything Spiritual. Psalms 51:1Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient[ THE CARNAL MIND CANNOT EVER UNDERSTAND SPIRITUAL THINGS ] of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. So when I judge Genesis 2:1 to be only talking about a physical earth I judged wrong or I thought wrong. What about the word form, how are we without form? I have physical form which I can see in the mirror and sometime mirrors distort the image or shape. Another synonym for the word form would be shape.Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity.[ Read the letter: More righteous than Job] Thus when I read and try to understand the Bible without the Holy Ghost interpretation I cannot form anything in my mind about the true character of God. Job 4:16 It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice,saying. We cannot discern anything about God unless we hear His voice. If we think we can hear anyway, than we are more just then God our maker. Job4:17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? When we read the Bible thinking there is nothing there but what I can see physically, we deny God's power and will die in our sins. 2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Jesus is God and came in the form of a mortal man. Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Man void of any spiritual understanding has created an image in his mind of what he would like God to be, himself: a corruptible man with a beast mind. Romans 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Man is an earthen vessel void of any spiritual understanding. Deuteronomy 32:28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. The Old Testaments Prophets only saw the word in shadows or what the Bible calls the Law. They were waiting for the full word to be revealed in Jesus Christ. Hebrew 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.Genesis 1:2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. When we behold the revealed word of God you are seeing the deep things of God. The carnal mind only sees darkness when the Bible is read. When I read: Genesis 1:2 years ago with a mind void of understanding. I used my name[GOD PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH] instead of the word earth. I sat still and wondered, not knowing that God was trying to show me something deep, His thoughts; it was too high for a fool[Michael] mind to attain. Psalm 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. The Day the Earth stood still, is a great movie and we can learn something Spiritually from it? They soldiers in the movie could not understand what the visitor from another world wanted. Carnal man cannot Spiritually understand the Bible, so what does he do? He tries to destroy it by making it a reflection of his own thinking. The soldier in the movie could not wait to put a bullet into a spaceman. Michael Rudolph Hodges 12/7/2016/ amended 5/14/2021
