SHOT THROUGH THE HEART

Greetings. Most people feel safety in numbers, years ago when I was a commercial driver; an instructor noted to us students that millions of drivers prefer to drive in packs. Thus, that might explain why car pile-ups as high as 259 cars have been reported.  Millions can believe man’s doctrine concerning the Bible, because how could so many people make a covenant with death or there own wisdom?  Isaiah 28:15   Because ye have said, we have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; we the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under the falsehood have we hid ourselves. But millions of people can pile- up on any given Sunday and hear the philosophy of men, thus make men lies their refuge.   Colossians 2:8  Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Now if I allow men philosophy to spoil me, I will not produce any precious spiritual fruit and beside who likes rotten physical fruit? The fruit we must produce is fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Now the carnally minded person would like to believe the above characteristics are dealing with our relationships with other physical people. That way they can flatter themselves as how claim they love everybody: nobody loves everybody! Not that we should hate anybody and when you can speak God's wisdom: which is not of this world, people will hate you, because you are not coming in your own name sake's. Mark 13:13And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. We are to endure all temptation to see God's words through our own wisdom and this will be a mental battle unlike none we have ever witness.  Ephesians 5:9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. The true Godly righteousness is to have love for His word, joy as God reveals it’s spiritual meaning to you.  Galatians 5:22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. We have spiritual peace when we are no longer warring with the carnal mind against God's Spirit, after having suffered long persecution from the carnal mind. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. When we see God's words in our own wisdom we have no faith what so ever. Let us examine the story of king Joram a king of ancient Israel. 2 Kings 9:22And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, what peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many? [ Review book #15 the letter Jezebel] Jehu is a General in the above verse and later would become the future king of Israel. Joram represents us who claim to be at peace, but are full of our spiritual[thoughts] whoredoms concerning God’s word. 1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. The Bible uses the once physical examples of characters to try and show us Spiritual things: just knowing the history of these Bible characters with knowing what they symbolize, does us very little good.  2 Kings 9:22And it came to pass, whenJoram [ Your name here] saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? The Bibles calls us all wicked when we bear false witness against God’s word, or put our opinion on it. Isaiah 59:13 In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. Take a Bible verse any verse and put your thoughts on it and without the Holy Ghost being the interpreter you are a liar. John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.  We are all devils and in the beginning or the first time we read the Bible: we murdered any Spiritual wisdom God desired to give up.  Joram was a liar and his mother Jezebel: who practice witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:23For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. When we are in rebellion against God’s word it’s witchcraft and No broom or pointed hat needed! If we are into our own witness against God’s word there is no peace. Isaiah 48:22 There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked. God only accepts His perfect interpretation of His words: than you’re marked as a perfect man.  Psalm 37:37Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. Please, note my letters are not commentaries on the Bible; I merely compare verses with the same words in them and allow the Holy Ghost to guide me in the hidden truths. It does help to be very familiar with the story’s in the Bible: for that I spent 25 years just reading it. Unless God give us a true hunger for His words, people would rather watch reruns of I Love Lucy. 2 Kings 9:12And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite. Here are the two King coming out to meet one man Jehu. How did Jehu get his calling? 2 Kings 9:1And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead: 2 and when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber; 3 then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not. At this point I feel God grace is sufficient to go deeper into this story. God desires to raise [even as he did, Jehu] us up as kings and priests. Revelation 1:6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.We are made as kings and Priest for what purpose? Romans 9:23And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory. On the chosen few as physical vessels of mercy will God makes His glory known or His word. Ephesians 1:18The eyes of [Spiritually anoints our eyes to see his Glory] your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Jehu was the only one physically anointed from among his brethren[ Matthew 22:14For many are called, but few are chosen. 2 Kings 9: 3 Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his [Jehu] head, and say, thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Jehu, had a mission to perform and so do we: smite the carnal man in all of us. 2 Kings 9 :7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel. We are called as Christians to smite and take vengeance or cast down every carnal thought against God’s word we ever imagined. Avenge the blood of every verse we have taken by force, because we are spiritual bloody men.  2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. First we must evangelize our own thinking before we can Spiritually help others: spiritually we must visit all the verse we have put sin on and make them obedience to God's Spirit. Jehu is called to smite his master Joram, who was Ahab's son. Spiritually do we have a bloody wicked master we need to smite? Your own carnal thoughts against God’s word are your masters and you the servant. Don’t yield to them or you will be defeated!  Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? We all at first when reading the Bible obey our own wicked counsel or servants. Why would a men or women continue to do this? No fear or reverence for God’s word, we than become servants of our own darkness . Isaiah 50:10Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? When Jehu, confronts the two kings: 2 Kings 9:23 And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, there is treachery, [ Ahaziah the king over Judah] O Ahaziah.2 Chronicles 22:7 And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab. Joram accused Jehu of treachery, [ there is treachery] since the word: treachery is found only one time in the Bible. We will substitute it with the word treason, and Jehu is a General or top military officer of Joram. Jehu was revolting against his former master’s son. You must revolt against all those carnal thoughts against God's word, but we love that old carnal devilish wisdom.James 3:18 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. The carnal mind sees any correction to its thinking as a revolt. The carnal mind which we are all born with is our familiar friend or spirit. Psalm 41:9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.Micah 7:5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. We are not to trust anything the carnal mind can produce concerning the scripture, for it can only produce death. Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.Jehu was anointed for the destruction of kings; God wants to anoint us to slain the kings or thoughts reign in our minds.  2Chronicles 22:7   And the destruction of Ahaziah was the coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out Jehoramagainst Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab. The anointed is the Holy Ghost doing the teaching by the correcting the carnal mind: the anointing is the Holy Ghost! 1 John 2:27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. You can only be taught by God’s Spirit when we all realize and become Spiritually dead to your own carnal thinking. The old man must be buried: crucified. We must spiritually nail that old man to a cross and this is very painful; because we would like to believe we’re not wicked. Jesus gives us the example in the next verses, the old man was about to be put to death: Jesus came to us in the fashioned of a man. Philippians 2:8 And being found in the fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. You cannot kill God! But a representation of our own thinking concerning Him must be put to death, because we only see Him a man. Mark 14:8She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. By not allowing the Holy Ghost to teach us, we’ll never see anything from God’s word. John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. In the story Joram fled from Jehu. Men flees from God’s judgment, they don’t want God to judge their wicked thoughts concerning Him; you cannot never be made righteous when you’re in your own opinion about His word’s and refuse to be judged. Psalm 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Psalm 35:24Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. In the above verse: King David is stating he’s allowing God to judge his thought; he’s resisting any attempt of the carnal man to be his familiar guide. The carnal mind of man rejoices in interpreting God’s word. How else false Pastors and Teachers  brag about their degree in theology. And along with their degree it should come with a chariot to ride in, when you go up against God’s word. 2 King 9: 24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram [Joram] between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot. An arrow through the back that comes out through the heart? Shall we go on? For at this point with arms open wide we ask God to show us more of His Glory: His word. Deuteronomy 15:8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth. Now with my hands open wide as if I was swimming. Psalm 45:5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies. Are we God’s enemy when we put our own profane tongue on his Holy word? Psalm 64:3Who whet their tongue like as word, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words. Man has his spiritual arrows: bitter words. Jeremiah 9:8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit. What happens when God’s Spirit shoots his Spiritual arrows. Ezekiel 5:16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you and will break your staff of bread. Evil arrows of famine?  Amos 8:11Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. On any given Sunday in thousands of Churches across the United States of America; all you will hear preached is the philosophy and the exaltation of man. No hearing of the reveal word of God, a spiritually physically starved nation. But, they love it that way, because it their way, their law and by their way of looking at things: Christ deserves to die. THEY REJECT THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT! Romans 8:2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Joram was hit in the back by Jehu’s arrow and the arrow came out of his heart. Psalm 21:12 Therefore, shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them. Joram was fleeing and had turned his back on God’s judgement. Spiritually men do the same on any given Sunday. Job 34:27 Because they turned back from him and would not consider any of his ways. Millions will claim they love God with all their wicked hearts of stone. The leading cause of death in the United States of America is heart disease. In the 1900’s, heart disease accounted for 18 percent of all deaths. Today, that figure jumped to 63 percent. Ezekiel 36:26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. If we continue in own our ways or thoughts concerning God’s ways, we become his enemy. Psalm 45:5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.Psalm 139:20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.Michael Rudolph Hodges
